Every summer needs a crochet bag. Large, to hold a beach towel and your latest project to spend afternoons on the shore working stitch after stitch, or small, just big enough for essentials to go anywhere. We love to suggest quick and easy stitches for your projects and the lemon peel stitch, which we show you today, is perfect for your summer bag.

For this stitch we used a skein of our Pima cotton and a size 8 (5mm) crochet hook.

The stitches we are going to use are the following (in case you want to do a quick review):

We’ll start with a foundation chain of an even number of chains. This will be the base of our stitch.

Row 1: we’ll crochet the whole row by alternating 1 single crochet and 1 double crochet, until the end of the row.

We continue working our lemon peel stitch by repeating, row after row, the previous row.
